TEAM MEMBERS & CONSIGNORS

It takes a small army of moms and dads to put on a sale the magnitude of ours. Helping at the sale directly contributes to the success of the sale AND is the easiest way to maximize your profits.

Team Members earn up to an extra 10% on sold items for helping at the sale, plus you shop first. The more you help, the earlier you shop.  The online Team Member schedule opens 2021.

We accept cash, check, VISA, M/C and Discover at checkout. Shopping bags and carts are available for your use and we have a Hold Area if your arms get full.

SHOPPER, CONSIGNOR, & HELPER FAQS

SHOPPER FAQs:

Q. Are children allowed when you are open to the public?
A. For their safety and the safety of others, this sale we are requesting familes SHOP SOLO. We understand this may not be possible for all families, so if you must bring your kids we understand. BUT we will ask that you keep them within arms distance and do not allow them to touch sale items. 

Q. How often do you have these sales?
A. Our Spring/Summer sales are typically in March/April and our Fall/Winter sales are in September/October of each year.

Q. Are the sales located indoors?
A. Yes. Sales are located in air-conditioned/heated buildings.

Q. Are there any parking fees or entrance fees?
A. No parking fees!! We charge a cash admission of $10 for Opening Day on Wednesday, $3 for Thursday/Friday, $5 for the Friday 1/2 Price Pre-Sale (Advanced Tickets Required), $1 admission for our half price public sale Saturdays and $3 for the 75% off sale. Admission fees are only charged the first day you attend as long as you keep your admission bracelet (1/2 price pre-sale & 75% off sale excluded).

Q. What kinds of payment do you accept?
A. At the registers we accept Cash, Checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover with proper ID. Admission is advanced tickets or cash only. ATM provided for your convenience.

Q. What can I shop with?
A. A large shopping bag or shopping cart (upon availability) will be provided, but it is also recommend to bring a laundry basket or wagon to shop with. This sale we ARE allowing outside bags. All bags are subject to search. 

 

CONSIGNOR FAQs:

Q. Who can consign their items and become a seller?
A. Anyone can consign their children's items, maternity items, and all household furniture with Just Between Friends.

Q. Do consignors get to shop before the public?
A. Yes, there is a designated consignor time at our exclusive Pre-Sale.

Q. What percentage of the sales do I receive?
A. DIY Consignors receive 60% of their sales less a $15 consignor fee (deducted from their check). JBF DIY Team Members (helpers) earn up to 70%.
Valet Consignors receive 40% of their sales less a $15 consignor fee and a $15 supply fee. Please see valet waivers for more details. Valet Team Members earn up to 50% on sold items. 

Helpful Tip: Tell EVERYONE about the sale!! Consignors need 10 shoppers (people buying not just looking) for the best results on sold items. Help spread the word...your check depends on it!!

Q. Who does the pricing?
A. You set your own price and you get to decide if it is discounted on our half-price day. We suggest you price your items 1/3 of what they would sell for retail. *NOTE: Items that are overpriced will be pulled from the sales floor.

Q. How long should I give myself to drop off my items?
A. We have self check-in and it typically takes about 1 hour to drop off your items. In most cases, your items will be inspected AFTER you place them in the designated areas around the sales floor. It is helpful to bring a wagon or other large container to drop off your items. PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR WAIVER BEFORE ARRIVAL- CLICK HERE  Want to drop and run, having someone else put your items out for you?? Check out our Express Drop Off option! 

Q. When and where do I drop off my items?
A. Drop off for the Spring 2021 sale is April 18th from 5pm - 10pm & April 19th from 10am-1pm at The Coliseum (on the fairgrounds) by appointment. Slots Open 2021.

Q. When do I pick up my unsold items?
A. Unsold items are to be picked up on April 25th from 3-5pm by appointment. All items not picked up at that time will automatically be donated. Slots Open 2021.

Q. Do I have to sort through the racks to find my unsold items?
A. No, when you pick up your unsold items, your hanging garments will already be sorted by Consignor # for easy pickup. As time and helper sign-ups allow, we hope to have all of the other items sorted, too, otherwise, it will be up to you to visit our posted areas to find items other than clothing.

Q. How long does it take to receive my check?
A. Your check will be Emailed to you within 1 week of the end of the sale.

Q. Will I know what items have sold?
A. The online tagging system is quick and easy and will give you a close idea of what has sold, when and for how much. Tags that do not scan properly will not show up in the system as sold, but they will be reflected on your check. Tags will be uploaded automatically during the sale.

Q. Where do I find safety pins and hangers?
A. All tagging supplies can be found at most box stores (Walmart, HEB, etc) as well as online.  ANY SIZE hangers are fine to use, you can find them at most dry cleaners for FREE or in your closet.

Q. If I consign my items, do I have to stay during the sale?
A. No. Consignors bring their items to drop off and put them out on the sales floor during the designated drop-off times and come back during the designated times to pick up their unsold items. However, if you help at the sale you earn a higher percentage on your sold items!

Q. What items does JBF San Angelo sell?
A. We accept anything related to babies, children or maternity AND all household furniture. The clothing must be current season. We accept SPRING/SUMMER clothing in our Spring events and FALL/WINTER clothes at our Fall events. Other great items are toys, books, videos, strollers, baby equipment, nursery items, large play equipment, bedding, cribs, changing tables, etc. Go to www.cpsc.gov to see if any of your items have been recalled. Be a responsible seller. We WILL accept baby & kid bedding (no bumpers or crib liners accepted, even in sets so please be sure to pull them)! PLEASE SEE SEASONAL GUIDELINES (Consignor Details Page) FOR FULL LIST OF ACCEPTABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS. 

Q. What sizes do you accept?
A. We accept newborn through teen sizes (up to 20 or 34 depending on sizing chart).

Q. What about shoes?
A. Yes! Please secure shoes together with zip ties, ribbon, or safety pins. Shoes will be inspected for cleanliness. Please take shoes out of boxes

Q. What about stuffed animals?
A. Yes, but we only accept licensed characters (Disney, Nickelodeon, etc.), oversized, and talking plush in LIKE NEW condition.


TEAM MEMBER FAQs:

Q. Can anyone sign up as a JBF Team Member and attend the pre-sales?
A. Yes, at this time we are able to accept anyone as a helper at our events. But we'd love to have you help AND consign! PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR WAIVER HERE

Q. Do I have to help at the sale?
A. No! But there are incredible perks to helping, so join in on the fun!!

Q. Can I bring a guest to the Team Member presales?
A. Team Members may not bring guests to the pre-sale. Encourage your friends to help and then you can shop together!

Q. How long are the shifts?
A. Most are 5 Hours and you can sign up for as many shifts as you like, up to 25 or more hours. Check out the available shifts on our online scheduler. Scheduler opens in 2021. *Note: You must earn 5 hours or more to shop early and help AT the sale to earn the higher percentage on your sold items.

Q. Do you provide childcare during shifts?
A. We apologize, but we do not offer childcare 

Q. Can I bring my children with me during a shift?
A. Sorry, our insurance does not allow for children under the age of 16 to be with you during your shift.  

Q. I'm pregnant or have a medical condition. Is it OK for me to be a JBF Team Member/Helper?
A. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you will want to select a Team Member shift when the workload is less. We have several shifts available with jobs that can be done sitting down (see shift descriptions on the scheduler). If you need these positions, please email us with your request after registering for a shift and we will try to accommodate your request. Please check with your doctor before helping if you have any concerns about your ability. If you are pregnant please do not sign up for a set-up or breakdown shift.
